MY story
Scarlett arrived with us a couple of months ago from Romania. Scarlett is a very sweet young lady.
She loves her walks and walks beautifully on the lead.
She’s great around other dogs, although at times when out, she can become a little shy and unsure. Can at times be slightly reactive to other dogs who bound over.
She is currently being trained on a long lead, which is working well, but more work needs to be done on recall.
She is great around my son, who is 10 but is very wary of men and older boys. Patience and time are what is needed.
She remains dry during the day, but toilet training remains ongoing. The door has been left open for her to use since her stay with us and will go and outside to the toilet when the door is open.
She loves her person and will enjoy cuddles and affection
Cats have been a no-go on the fence, but when out and about doesn’t appear to faze her.
Ongoing work needs to be done, but with the right family, love, and patience, I am sure she will continue to flourish into the most amazing loving dog .She remains still very nervous and is yet to enter the kitchen or go upstairs alone. We think it’s because she feels trapped, and this is something she does not like at all. Space is the key with Scarlett on her terms .
MY PERFECT HOME
Scarlett would love a home with another dog to help her confidence around men grow. She definitely prefers women so her ideal home would be a place without men or taller older boys. She must have her own secure garden with 6ft fencing and no gaps at all. We are unsure how Scarlett would be living with a cat. So, very slow introductions would be needed. Scarlett will need lots of ongoing training as she is still learning the ropes when it comes to being a UK pet. So she needs a family with patience and doesn't expect her to be that happy, confident dog straight away.
