MY story
Archie is a wonderful big greyhound with a typical greyhound nature! He is extemely sweet and a very laid back boy.
Archie is house clean and a well-behaved house guest in his foster home. He enjoys walks and long afternoon naps. He lives with two other lurcher boys and is very well behaved with them, he enjoys a little play and then back to snoozing!
He travels well in the car and recently passed a health check at the vets. He has an old leg injury from this that has been operated on.
Archie does having a racing history so no small furries please!
Here's what his foster mum says:
Archie has settled well into a foster home with two other male sighthounds. No food aggression or any dog aggression shown. Typical greyhound- loves his food and loves his comfort- very quickly has made the sofa his choice of seating. Clean in the house. Not too confident on the stairs- good going up but still a work in progress getting back down! Gets into the car and travels well in the car now(although perhaps a larger car would be useful!!š¤£) Good with other dogs when out on a walk and loves people. Walks beautifully on the lead - unless thereās a squirrel in sight! I can manage the three large boys with one hand. Rarely barks. Takes treats nicely and tends to keep all four feet on the floor when heās greeting you which is a relief as heās as tall as I am! Very cuddly in the house and good recall outside. Typical countersurfer- often find things squirrelled away in his bed though non destructive- just a thief. He would like to live with another dog although not essential. Doesnāt need loads of exercise. Archie is a very lovely and loving dog- well regulated emotionally- will walk away from confrontation rather than escalate it. Heās got a really good, kind nature and positive attitude to life.
MY PERFECT HOME
Archie needs a secure garden with 6ft fencing minimum and no gaps at all.
As with all dogs on going training will be needed.
Archie can live with dogs, no cats and children 12+ please.
