MY story
Cookie arrived with us recently from Romania. Cookie had one of the most awful starts in life. We think he was likely beaten or hit by a car, which broke his leg and fractured his skull. All were left to heal as they were, and this has caused some issues. When he arrived in the rescue in Romania, he was covered in dirt and developed mange. Finally, once he was well enough, he travelled to the UK and came into foster. He has been doing so well. He is now on pain relief, which is definitely helping. He has had a skin flare-up with the mange, which has now been treated (bravecto is used for this), and with some extra vitamins to boost his immune system, we are hoping this will not return. But it is possible and will need monitoring as stress can bring it on.
In regards to his skull injury, this has healed, but his whole head is now a little wonky, and his teeth don't line up quite right. This does not seem to affect him at all, but he does need help to brush his teeth daily.
As for his leg, when he has stopped growing, he will need some surgery at around a year or so old. We will fundraise and pay for this and any medical needs until he is back to full health. But we would like him to find his forever home as soon as possible rather than wait in foster for months until he is ready to have the operation.
Cookie is a happy and friendly puppy. Despite all that's happened to him. He loves everyone he meets. He loves other dogs, so a dog friend would be great. He eats well. He has been house clean since arriving into foster. He is still young, so some ongoing training will be needed. He is also crate trained and walks well on the lead.
MY PERFECT HOME
Cookie needs a special family to help nurse him back to full health. He will be fine to live with other dogs, cats, and children 8+. You must have a secure garden with 6ft high fencing. Cookie has so much love to give the family that choose him ❤️

Fill in application form
Please fill in the form as honestly as possible. Our team will read the application and make sure it is the right match for the dog being applied for.

We will arrange a home check
If you and the dogs seem a good fit we will call you to discuss further, arrange to meet the dog and arrange a physical home check at your home.

Matched with your dog
Once we have agreed together that this is the right dog for you we will arrange for your dog to come to you. Depending whether this is via kennels or foster homes it may vary.

Ongoing Support
We love to keep in touch with everyone and hope you will reach out if you have any concerns or questions. We work with a number of local trainers and behaviourists too who can provide support.
