MY story

Flossie came to us as an emergency case. She had been taken to the vets with a life threatening condition that her owners were not prepared to treat. So after a week and already nearly dead Flossie was signed over to us.
We never thought for one minute Flossie would survive but she wanted to live so badly. She fought and fought and after 5 days she was well enough to come home to her foster.
We have spent the next few months get Flossie back to full health and seeing many specialist along the way. Finally Flossie is to a stage where she is ready to find her forever home. The only one last problem is Flossie has hip dysplasia. It’s quiet server and if she was younger we would consider a hip replacement but she has been through too much to do this as well. So instead on vet’s advice we will manage it with pain medication and hydrotherapy. As a rescue we will happily cover the costs of hydrotherapy and any on going issues related to the hips but everything else would be down to you the adopter.
Flossie has had a rough life and now deserves the best retirement home we can offer her. So if you think you may be the right match please reach out.

This is what Flossie’s current foster mum has to say:

Flossie is an all round entertainer, she fast -she loves everyone even small children . She gets on well with the resident cats but did have slow introductions as she wants to play chase and they don’t ,now there are lots of head rubs and kisses on demand .she sleeps really well completely house trained , she will join in the neighbourhood bark fest but is quiet when you tell her .she loves her food and yours ( don’t leave it in her reach !) she takes off quickly on her walks but slows down as soon as you tell her .she thinks she is a cat -chases birds and will squeeze on the sofa with them . There is No personal space where you are she wants to be -she is a typical Labrador absolutely adorable.xx

MY PERFECT HOME

Flossie will need a secure garden with 6ft fencing and no gaps at all.

As with all dogs on going training will be needed.

Flossie needs to be the only dog, she can live with cats and children 12+.
