MY story
Reggie came to us from the pound a month or so ago now.
He has been doing really well in foster. But struggling with some new people.
Here is what his foster mum had to say:
Reg is a happy, loving boy who wants nothing more than to spend all day with you. Whether that's curled up on a lap, playing with his toys, or helping you around the house.. well, he watches whilst you work round the house š
He walks really well on a lead and has a fantastic appetite. He likes his food so much, he will try to eat yours aswel.
He's young and full of beans and springs around the house like Tigger.
He sleeps really well in his crate at night and will let you know when he needs the toilet by going to the back door.
Now here's the important bit, PLEASE READ.
Reg has been through hell. He's been starved and burned, and who knows what else.
This has led Reg to fear new people, whether that's people visiting his foster home or on a walk.
He's working hard with a behaviourist to help him understand that people mean good things, and in time and plenty of treats, he should let his guard down and stop thinking he needs to protect himself.
He also has separation anxiety, so anyone who takes Reg on needs to be willing to work with a behaviourist on this.
I know this sounds a lot, but his personality and a need to love and be loved does outweigh the work that does need to be done, and he just needs someone to take a chance on him.
He needs to be the only dog and no other animals, as he needs 100% of your attention to help him mend from the scares he carries.
Reg is young and needs boundaries but also patience and time.
I've had Reg a while now, and know once he feels safe, he will be your best friend and companion for life.
MY PERFECT HOME
Reggie needs a secure garden with 6ft fencing minimum and no gaps at all.
As with all dogs on going training will be required.
Reggie needs to be an only pet and children 12+ please.
