MY story
River arrived with us from Romania a number of months ago. She has bee. Doing really well in foster and is now ready for her forever home.
This is what her foster mum had to say:
When looking after River at the kennels with her sister she had become very quiet, shy and nervous and it was quite sad to see a puppy shut down. Hiding in a corner making herself small you could see she wanted to receive attention but was just too afraid.
When her sister was adopted I took her home to foster and although it took a few days she began to come out of her shell.
She has always eaten well, she toilets in the garden and sleeps through the night in her crate.
River is now bursting with fun and energy! She LOVES her toys, hoarding them all from the toy basket into her bed and then falling asleep surrounded by them. Shes getting more comfortable everyday with all the comings and goings of a busy household and plays with our resident dog beautifully.
River likes to zoom around the garden and snuggle up for a cuddle and belly rub. When River has had some visitors she has hidden initially but then come out and engaged with everyone like the puppy she was always meant to be. Her confidence grows everyday. She will allow a harness and lead to be put on her and likes to sit outside the front door but hasnt built up the courage to join in on walks yet but we get a little further everyday. I fully expect River to be a happy and well adjusted dog in no time.
MY PERFECT HOME
River will need a secure garden with 6ft fencing minimum and no gaps at all.
As with all puppies on, going training will be needed.
River can live with dogs, cats on slow introductions, and no children.
