MY story
Selma arrived a few weeks ago from Romania. She has been doing really well in foster and is now ready to be adopted.
This is what her foster mum had to say:
Selma:
This little girl really has the cute factor with the making of a fantastic companion dog, Since her arrival she has shown a calm and gentle nature with a playful side and hasn't barked that often.
Selma has been house clean from day one and has figured out to stand close to the door to be allowed out. It's not always for the toilet, sometimes she just wants to have a sniff around. She happily comes back in after a little while. Selma sleeps/quiet all night. We've continue to use the crate over night only in case her forever home wishes to use a crate. Selma hasn't tried to chew any household items but really likes the Yak bar to chew on, or hide :-)
Selma likes home comforts, a cosy bed and the sofa if allowed. To the delight of my dog, Selma enjoys having play fights and is starting to learn about toys. She's been good with my cat with only one incident where food was involved.
Selma is good with accepting the harness and lead being put on. At this time she has only had a very short walk on a very quiet road and did this with some confidence. She did find moving vehicles frightening. But bear in mind this is all very new to her.
Selma has a good appetite and is always hopeful that what is in your hand is edible.
We have introduced feeding the two dogs close together, one either side of her pen and Selma has shown no signs of aggregation.
MY PERFECT HOME
Selma needs a secure garden with 6ft Fencing and no gaps at all.
As with all dogs on going training will be needed.
Selma can live with dogs, cats and children 8-+.
