Meet Floyd 💙

Floyd came to us when he was just 5 months old. It quickly became clear that something wasn’t quite right with the way he walked. After X-rays and lots of investigations, Floyd was diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia.

Following specialist appointments in London and further tests, it was decided that surgery would not be in Floyd’s best interests. So Floyd will remain in our care, where we can make sure he gets all the love, support, and treatment he needs.

Floyd is on daily pain relief, a special diet, and has recently started hydrotherapy and laser therapy. These treatments help him build muscle, manage his pain, and enjoy life to the fullest.

Right now, Floyd is doing really well. He still loves life, enjoys his comforts, and makes us smile every day. But he will always need careful monitoring to make sure he continues to have a good quality of life.

Sadly, Floyd may never grow old, as there may come a time when his pain can no longer be managed. Until then, we are determined to give him the happiest, most comfortable life possible.
