Meet Hildie – A Fighter with a Gentle Heart

Little Hildie is around 8 years old and has already endured more than most dogs do in a lifetime. She was found on the streets of Romania, clinging to life after a brutal dog attack. Alone, terrified, and gravely injured, her chances of survival seemed slim.

But Hildie’s story didn’t end there.

Thanks to the kindness of rescuers, Hildie was brought to the UK and given the second chance she so desperately deserved. She began to recover, and for the first time, experienced the comfort of a warm bed, a gentle hand, and the love of a foster mum who adores her.

Just when things were looking up, another heartbreaking twist came. Hildie went in for a routine dental at the vet – and that’s when we discovered she’s in heart failure. Further tests revealed she has several other serious health issues as well. While she may not have a long future ahead, what matters now is that every day she does have is filled with peace, comfort, and love.

Hildie will live out her life with her devoted foster mum, where she’s safe, cherished, and surrounded by warmth. But to keep her comfortable and pain-free, Hildie needs ongoing medication, frequent vet checks, and careful monitoring.
